Episode 31: 'It's So Different Here Volume 1' came from our man in the North, Hal Halverson who was also behind episode 14's excursion into Norwegian postpunk. An atmospheric mix of ambient and vocals containing gems from Harold Budd, Stockhausen and Delia Derbyshire amongst others.
We've had a very favourable response to episode 30, Slug's Kosmiche 74 minute special, which is kind of a beginners guide to the more ambient end of the genre - mixed inna Shwantology style (without headphones apparently)! Slug has promised to do a companion mix featuring the more 'rock' side of things, so watch this space in the new year.
In other Blogariddims news, the series has been picked up by online radio station 'Radio Magnetic' which has been broadcasting alternate episodes from season 1 + 2 every week for the past month or so. Ive also done a short interview about the series for New Zealand music mag 'Real Groove', which, I'm told, will feature in the Christmas issue.
That's it until next Monday weeks episode!
